Ranch Lovers Start Here

So you, your spouse, your kids, put ranch on everything? You don’t say! Mine, too! Ranch on veggies, ranch on chicken, ranch for french fries, ranch on pizza. Ok, I know that last one can be controversial, but can we agree to at least dipping the crust in ranch?

Grocery store prices have been going through the roof, I have been looking for things I can make at home. I have three criteria- they have to be at least as affordable to make, they have to be simple to make, and they have to taste amazing!

This Copycat Hidden Valley ranch Dressing nails all three!

Affordable

This recipe uses simple ingredients, and I’ll bet you have most of them in your pantry or fridge already! Spices like parsley flakes, garlic salt, onion salt, and pepper bring the flavor. While mayo, sour cream, and DIY buttermilk provide that creamy goodness that ranch fanatics crave!

Oh, did you catch that DIY butter milk reference? Yes- we are going to make our own buttermilk using lemon juice and regular milk! It is an easy-peasy substitute that you can use an any recipe that calls for buttermilk. More affordable and way more convenient!

Simple to Make

Measure out the spices and stir. Can it get any easier than that? Seriously- this dressing comes together in 5 minutes and it stores well in the fridge for weeks. I like to store mine in a quart mason jar, but any storage vessel will work! BTW, I love these easy-pour mason jar lids!

Amazing Taste

I’m not going to go so far as to say I’m a ranch snob- well, OK…I am. I’ve tried every other brand -fancy or store brand- and none compares to the ol’ Hidden Valley. It’s just that good. But this copycat recipe will have your snobbiest ranch lovers crying for more! Maybe you should just double the recipe (wink)!
